Peter Treanor - BOT Chairperson
I am Pete Treanor and this is my second term as a Board Member and Chairperson. We have lived here for about 16 years and really enjoy the community that is Tokoroa.
Many years ago my father and his two brothers worked at Kinleith so I feel a strong connection here. My wife Susan and I have had grandchildren attend Tainui Full Primary.
It is great to be part of helping the school grow, student achievement and supporting staff in their work.
Hi, I'm Katishe, married to Brian and we have two great kids, Nevaeh and JD who are currently at Tainui Full Primary. I work part time as a Dental Hygienist and love it as I get to meet all sorts of wonderful people.
Tokoroa has always been my home and Tainui Intermediate used to be my old stomping ground. I love being a part of a great community and am grateful that my children get to experience that community spirit also. Tainui Full Primary has my heart and I am excited to carry on the journey with the Staff, Students and Families of Tainui Full Primary, representing parents as a Board of Trustees Parent representative.
Tainui Full Primary School has changed and grown a lot over the past three years and I look forward to being a part of what the future has to hold as I see nothing but great things ahead.
Tena ra koutou te whanau whanui o Tainui.
My name is Sonia Smith. I have two daughters, Leila and Temaire who are in Mrs Broman’s classroom this year.
I have lived in Tokoroa for the past 10 years and have enjoyed my time in this community that I have grown to love and respect.
I have a teaching background where I taught in various schools for 15 years. I have since transitioned in to child protection working as a whanau support worker in our community.
I am fluent in Te Reo Maori and feel very connected to my culture. My partner is also Maori and Cook Island so we take the time to acknowledge and celebrate our multiculturalism.
I have enjoyed seeing how Tainui Full Primary has grown over the last year and I’m excited to be a part of the journey moving forward. I see great things happening for our school and am thankful that I can represent and support our many diverse whanau as a Board of Trustees parent representative.
Ma te Atua koutou katoa e manaaki.

It gives me great pride to be the Principal of an amazing school that continues to move forward and provide only the best for our tamariki. I was appointed Principal in Term 2 of 2013 and continue to work alongside a staff that work tirelessly and are committed to providing the best for our students. I also am privileged to have the most incredible students attend our school who bring a beautiful richness to our environment.
The Tainui Board of Trustees only has the best interest of the children at heart and will continue to strive for excellence in every aspect of school like.
Our parents, school community and wider community help us to shape our school and we look forward to encouraging and fostering that relationship further.
Francis Pedersen - Deputy Chairperson
Nga mihi kia koutou katoa,
My name is Francis. I am married to Ross Pedersen and together we created three beautiful little beings, Kathleen (15yrs), Puawai (8yrs) and Wiremu (2yrs). I have been with Tainui school since Kathleen begun at the age of five and Puawai followed on and so will Wiremu. I have lived in Tokoroa since early 90's and attended intermediate and high school here. My father was born and raised here which added to my sense of belonging to a wonderful community. I am currently undergoing full time study, doing a Bachelor of Social Science as my passion lies with vulnerable tamariki/rangatahi. As this is my second round as a parent representative on the board, I look forward to working collaboratively with the Tainui Full Primary community again, to not only create positive change within our school, but also establish the change that will benefit our tamariki of today and the generations to come.

Tihei mauri ora,
Kia ora, my name is Darrell Gage, married to Bridget and we have two beautiful girls, Tara and Hayley. Tara attends Tokoroa High School and Hayley attends Tainui Full Primary whom is at present in Mrs Broman’s class.
My family and Bridgets family have long been associated with Tainui from its inception as an Intermediate school to the current structure as a Full Primary School.
I have been involved in the governance of the Samoan Taumafai Aoga Amata of Tokoroa (early childcare centre) for 4 years, the last 3 years as chairperson.
As a newly appointed parent representative on the trust, I look forward to the challenges ahead. I believe in community participation within the school along with the exceptional pedagogical skills of our teaching staff linked to a very strong management team, a recipe for an exciting learning journey for our tamariki, a journey that I would love to be involved with.

I'm fortunate enough to have been teaching at Tainui since 2004 and I love our school and our community. Throughout my time here I have taught from year 2s through to year 8s.
It's exciting to see the new initiatives coming in and the direction in which our awesome school is moving.
I grew up on the family farm out at Whakamaru (with ten crazy brothers and sisters), came into Tokoroa for high school and never really left.
In my spare time I love to read, shop and travel.
